As 2017 comes to a close, we tend to reminisce on the past year. What could we have done better? What could we have changed? Honestly, 2017 has been a train wreck politically which has spilled over into our individual lives. Twitter has decided to ask what was the #BestPartof2017ForMe.
The morning of December 7th
A day earlier, I visited a number of Senate offices. That day I was scheduled to visit more
Before the day began, I visited Lincoln at sunrise
It was truly an awe inspiring moment that made me realize the importance of my work pic.twitter.com/pZ4ma4MMG3

We must continue our fight. We are the Resistance and we aren’t done fighting yet.
— Peace Is Active (@peaceisactive) December 26, 2017
Together we are a force that must be taken seriously. We are demanding change now.
#BestPartof2017ForMe was knowing I didn't vote for all this.

It does bring pride when you don’t have to claim the hot mess that is happening in office.
#bestpartof2017forme was watching fellow Americans take to the streets, the airports, the halls of congress to fight against this Rotten, Corrupt, Racist, Anti-science, Anti-Truth, Anti-compassion, Anti-Justice collection of Scumbags. My #NewYearsResolution is defeating them all pic.twitter.com/UmdHrlD77t

A wave is coming and it will not be pleasant for Trump and friends.

That most definitely was the calm before the storm. Obama help us.
Alabama not electing a child molester. #BestPartof2017ForMe

That was pretty epic. The sad part was how close Moore came to winning. We, obviously, still have much work to be done.

This was an amazing marketing move by Nabisco. The mystery oreos tasted like fruity pebbles. They must have sold a bunch of these. Absolutely marketing genius. We just totally fell right into their ploy.

Those 11 precious minutes of silence from the Twitter-in-Chief were refreshing. We must give kudos to the employee that was able to pull that off.
I'm thinking….. #BestPartof2017ForMe

Sometimes it is difficult to find a positive moment in this soon to be past year.
#BestPartof2017ForMe my family is happy and healthy.

That truly is the most important factor in life: family. If you have them, hold them close. We are never promised tomorrow.
#BestPartof2017ForMe was being able to join the @EatPrayVote team. They have allowed me to get my political frustration out. They have taught me a ton about writing. In addition, they have allowed me to open my sarcasm and snark with praise has been life changing. Thanks guys!

Writing for EatPrayVote has helped me way more than they even know. However, the rest of 2017 totally sucked.
Even during the most difficult times, there is always a silver lining. Here’s to hoping that 2018 will take a complete 180°. We must flip the senate and have a tidal wave of democrats in 2018. This is the only was to put a damper on Trump’s destruction of our country. Remember, this is OUR country. We must take it back immediately. Hopefully, 2018 will be a happy new year.
