Twitter Takes on Trump: Take The Knee

By Tiffany Rodgers

Trump challenged the sports world and Twitter’s response was epic. First, we must look at Dotard’s attack on NFL players. Remember to take your blood pressure medicine, get a drink, or breathe deeply as you read through Trump’s following tweets.

I think he is trying to be ironic or cute with the “You’re fired” comment. Either way, he is completely wrong and off his rocker.

When did kneeing become considered disrespect? Does not one kneel while proposing? They are not disrespecting the flag, but rather protesting the mistreatment of black individuals and Trump’s white supremacist presidency. In a sense, they are showing respect for the flag that Trump has disrespected himself, by not upholding the Constitution.

Sports fans are showing solidarity with the players. It is called freedom of speech, Trump. You cannot run this country like a dictator would, we have freedoms. If you do not like them…tough. Enough with Trump’s attack tweets (Seriously, will someone please take his phone away). Now onto Twitter’s response below.

Dotard’s presidency is illegitimate and thusly should be revoked. Trump. You’re. Fired. Boom.

Trump, here is a patriotic fellow. Learn from him, please.

But that would make him a good president…we cannot be having that.

Not all of the responses on Twitter are positive, but those that are negative are just Trump’s base.

Like it or not, protesting is a right.

Let’s hope this complaint goes somewhere.

The irony here is bountiful.

We all have “the right to protest the right.” Amen.

Exactly. This tweet wins the internet today. Trump must go, and until then we will continue to protest, since it is our Constitutional right. We cannot let Dictator Dotard think he can strip us of our rights. We are a free nation. Thank you to all who have served and are serving so we can remain a free nation that has Constitutional rights. Until something changes, Trump, this will only continue. Try being presidential for once and address the underlying issue.

  1. Just in case Trump doesn’t remember, his wife, an immigrant, had to remind him to put his hand on heart when the National Anthem was played at the Easter Egg Roll at the White House. He was too busy checking his camera angles, I guess. I don’t think his entertaining Russians in the Oval Office seems very patriotic but he makes the rules to fit his mood. Anyone has the right to protest. I think they have a legitimate reason because racism is not being addressed by this administration. Trump is too busy complimenting the white supremacists on being “good people”. He needs to focus, if that’s possible, on issues that matter to the people…but that is a pipe dream for Americans because Trump is only focusing on his own agenda, which is himself.
