Tennessee Church Shooting

By Tiffany Rodgers

There has been yet another church shooting. It happened near Nashville Tennessee, in Antioch, at the Burnette Chapel Church of Christ.

This situation is still very active as it just happened a little while ago.

The shooter has been captured and is being treated at the hospital for an accidental self-inflicted wound. One parishioner ran up and confronted the gunman, and during a struggle, the gunman mistakenly shot himself. That is called Karma.

The details about this situation are still fragmentary due to the fact that this just happened. However, details are trickling in. It is being reported that the shooter was dressed as a clown.

There was one person that was killed during this “mass casualty situation” and eight were wounded. Those that were injured were mostly older individuals.

The shooter reportedly went into the church, sat down, started shouting, and pulled out his pistol.

It appears that two of the wounded are the pastor and his wife.

As more details come in we will keep you updated. Shootings at any facility to inflict mass injuries and death has got to stop. We must reevaluate the gun laws America currently has in place. We do not know why this person did this, but we must make it more difficult for these types of folks to get their hands on guns. We send our prayers and thoughts to everyone involved. We pray for the quick recovery to the injured, and peace for the family and friends that knew the one that was murdered.
