Just when you thought Trump couldn’t screw America anymore – he proves us wrong. He delivered (rather read) a speech on Afghanistan this evening. Let’s dive right in to see what Twitter has to say.

Not sure which is worse, Trump using a teleprompter or Trump speaking off the cuff. Both are absolutely horrendous.
Trump says Afghanistan and Pakistan pose the worst terrorist threat to America. Interesting his travel ban applies to neither country.
— Steven Mazie (@stevenmazie) August 22, 2017
The six nations included in the travel ban are Syria, Yemen, Libya, Sudan, Somalia, and Iran. This does not include either country Trump claimed were the “worst terrorist threats to America.”

Wait! What? A political agreement with the Taliban? Right. ‘Cause Trump has made so many positive political agreements thus far. Whatever happened to NOT negotiating with terrorists? The only negotiating Trump is fluent in is lining his pockets with more money. What does that mean for the rest of us?
Trump on Afghanistan:
•No deadlines, troop numbers
•India & Pakistan have to step up
•"We will win" https://t.co/IGYKzF3dNa

Trumps secret plan for Afghanistan aims at nothing and will hit nothing. There is no plan wishful thinking won't work.
— GoodFella (@garyfitzroy) August 22, 2017
You have to love Trump’s vague plan (sarcasm). All he knows is he wants to win (just like a three-year-old). What that actually means is a mystery to the average person.
President Trump: Our military members "transcend every line of race, ethnicity creed and color to serve together" https://t.co/XWIMKdaMSl
— NBC News (@NBCNews) August 22, 2017
This one just boils the blood. He is just trying to glaze over his negatively received comments on Charlottesville. It doesn’t work. In addition, do not forget about his transgender military ban. Where do they belong in this statement? This is just another epic fail on Trump’s behalf.
Trump: "We can not remain a force for peace in the world if we are not at peace with each other."
— NPR (@NPR) August 22, 2017
Here he is trying again to “unite” America. Yet not too long ago he was sticking up for Nazis, but he wants us to get along, hold hands, and sing Kumbaya. Mr. Trump, if you want peace, you must first lead peacefully!
War in Afghanistan:
•Nation's longest war/conflict
•Current troop level: 8,400
•$714 billion cost since 2001
•2,250+ troop deaths since 2001 pic.twitter.com/jhSREyPVPw

Speaking of lives lost in Afghanistan…more than 2,200 service members have died in this war; 20,000 have been wounded.
— igorvolsky (@igorvolsky) August 22, 2017
Numbers. Numbers have to be addressed. These numbers are obscene. Just flat-out obscene.
— BrooklynDad_Defiant! (@mmpadellan) August 22, 2017
There is not really a big take-a-way from this speech. Perhaps, it was just to divert our attention away from the Russian investigation.
Trump's Afghanistan speech is the political equivalent of your friend saying "look over there" and then stealing your fries when you look.

Trump continues to show his inability to lead our nation and to affect the positive outcomes that Americans deserve. He must reign. Pence must resign. America deserves to have leaders that truly care about our nation – not the pansies we have currently been cursed with.
