By now you’ve probably heard that Barack Obama (Trump’s nemesis) has earned the award of having the most liked tweet in the history of tweeting. Not only did Obama manage to upstage the sitting President, but he did it on one of the most, if not the most contentious days of Trumps’ presidency to date.

The tweets and other calls for the resignation of President Trump have been occurring ever since the man took office, but the calls are increasing, and there is a deafening roar now of tweets #TrumpResign taking hold as the most popular of the collection #Resign, #ResignNow, #Resignation and #ResignTrump.
As we watched the last week unfold, resignation seemed to move into the realm of something that may actually be possible. Many people will shake their heads and say that Trump will never admit defeat, he’s too much of a narcissist, too egotistical to ever admit defeat. They could be correct.
On the other hand, there may be some other possibilities. Life in America has become a bit like riding the Wild Mouse ride at an amusement park. If you’re not familiar, it’s a ride a bit like a roller coaster, but with sharp 90-degree bends. So instead of the smooth movement of a roller coaster, it’s a very jarring and disruptive ride. And frightening because you come to the end of the track and it looks as if you’ll fly off into space, and then you make the sharp turn, and you’re back on track (till the next corner that is.) When every day feels like a wild mouse ride, it’s difficult to think clearly, but I have some other ideas of what might happen.
First of all, Trump has a way of spinning any story into a narrative that serves him. So regardless of what happens, in his mind, he’ll come out the winner. His thoughts and beliefs about reality have no basis other than his imaginings and desires. He always comes out smelling like a rose, even when he stinks like crap.
Robert Mueller’s investigation into the Trump-Russia connection and possible money-laundering is continuing, and we know that he has named Jared Kushner as someone he’s investigating.
And now that Steve Bannon back at Breitbart, he is also threatening to come after Jared and Ivanka.
We just need someone to break it to the President that he’s the least popular President in the history of the world, and to remind him of Obama’s tweet. Then he might be primed to hear a little birdy plant this seed:
Donald J. Trump could tweet with six characters to spare: “I realize that I am not the President the majority of American people want or deserve. Thank you for the opportunity. I hereby resign.”
If he did, his tweet would likely become the most liked tweet in the history of the world for the rest of all time! There will likely never be a more popular tweet and Donald J. Trump would be forever loved by the entire world.
Oh, please little birdy….
