HahnAmerica Radio Preview: Jan 4th

By Bobby M.

Every Wednesday night, Jason Taylor, better known as @HahnAmerica and the founder of EatPrayVote.org hosts a radio show along with @ChuckNellis and his wife @laweez to discuss the week in politics. They each will give the point of view from a moderate, a conservative, and a liberal. You can catch the most recent episode when you follow this link and older podcasts can be found here.

Here are some of the possible topics that I hope they discuss tonight…

  • Kim Jong Un, the leader of North Korea, announced the his military is close to being able to test intercontinental ballistic missiles capable of reaching parts of America. Donald Trump’s reply to him on Twitter was perceived as a threat back at him, and some would say a dare
  • What are your New Years resolutions for 2017? Especially when it comes to all things politics
  • Why did the House GOP think they could gut the Office on Congressional Ethics or was it all a PR Stunt?
  • Megyn Kelly has left Fox News for multiple roles at NBC. Were her altercations with Roger Ailes and/or Donald Trump part of the reason why she left?
  • With Queen Elizabeth’s declining health and Theresa May’s siding with Trump recently, where will the United Kingdom’s politics stand soon as Brexit is soon realized
  • ISIS claimed responsibility for the New Years Eve attack in Turkey that killed dozens
  • Should President Obama have done a recess appointment for Merrick Garland? Should he have done it on all of the other federal judges GOP Senate refused appointments for?
  • Paul Ryan and the GOP Congress are claiming a mandate regarding Obamacare even though 54% of the nation voted against Trump and many of his supporters wanted the Affordable Healthcare Act to remain
  • Trump continues to side with Putin in all things hacking even though our intelligence communities and numerous others state differently
  • Will Trump continue to insult US intelligence agencies if some emergency crops up?
  • Senator John McCain spent time in the Ukraine as part of his stance to make sure Russia is held accountable for their actions
  • Mariah Carey had trouble with her performance for New Years Eve and all kinds of negative stories came out after
  • Interesting topics in the world of sports involving
    • NFL playoffs are set, who you got?
    • Alabama vs. Clemson in the College Football National title game, which is coincidentally a rematch from last year
    • Rhonda Rousey made her return to the UFC but got destroyed in under a minute, casting doubts on her future in the sport

These things and many others may be talked about on their show. A preview of the show can be read about here. Tune in and see, or better yet, call in and ask for yourself.
